Gary’s dedication extends beyond his professional and political roles. He is actively involved in numerous organizations that support the local community, including:

Personal Life
Gary is single and a proud father of four children: Mia (43), Gary (42), Christie (40), and Kalli (20). His deep roots in Little Compton and his understanding of its unique character have shaped his vision for the town’s future.
Accomplishments and Vision
Throughout his career, Gary has achieved numerous accomplishments that have positively impacted Little Compton:
• Member of the Public Safety Complex Committee
• President of the Harbor Commission (1992-1998)
• Acquired a new crane and hoist for the Town Dock in 2004 with CDBG grant money
• Helped institute the Ambulance Reimbursement Fund and the Harbor Management Fund
• Played a key role in creating and updating the Harbor Management Plan
• Contributed to the installation of a revenue-generating tower at the transfer station
• Contacted the Army Corps of Engineers to repair the Sakonnet Breakwater
• Initiated the replacement of the pipeline from the Haffenreffer Wildlife Sanctuary to and from the harbor
• Instrumental in getting the town dump/landfill capped and the dredging of Sakonnet Harbor
• Created the first noise and entertainment ordinance for the town
• Initiated the replacement of the Sakonnet Harbor boat launching ramp
• Developed a method to collect delinquent taxes
• Served on the committee to hire a Town Administrator
• Proposed and secured approval for a new ADU ordinance
Gary’s efforts have ensured that many of these projects were completed with minimal financial burden on the town.

As Gary seeks re-election to the Town Council, his priorities remain focused on the needs and concerns of Little Compton residents:
• Keeping taxes low by controlling spending
• Preserving the rural character of the town
• Addressing climate change and rising ocean levels
• Ensuring a sustainable groundwater supply
